Extu Names Simon Hjorth New VP of Client Sales

Austin, October 23 – Extu, a leader in channel marketing solutions for IT partners and global IT brands, today announces that is has named Simon Hjorth, a global marketing executive with more than 25 years of experience in international marketing and sales with a proven record of driving growth, as Vice President of Client Sales. Extu has grown rapidly since opening an office in the U.S. in 2015. Recently the company added Microsoft and Samsung to an already-robust portfolio of clients that includes Lenovo, Dell and HPE, among other major IT brands. Hjorth will help Extu to drive growth in existing markets and prepare for future growth in new markets around the world.  

Hjorth comes to Extu from Archer Malmo, one of the largest independent advertising agencies in the US where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Austin office. From 2008 to 2016 he worked in leadership positions for WPP, the global communications group, first as Regional Director of Operations for Enfatico in Singapore, later as North America Managing Director for AdPeople WorldWide and as SVP for Wunderman, servicing clients like Dell, Akamai and Citi.

Hjorth is the latest hire to help the organization drive further growth in the U.S., Extu’s largest market. In the three years since opening its office in Austin, TX, Extu has increased its U.S.-based staff from three to 30. Hjorth’s role will be to work directly with Extu clients to continue their growth trajectory via through-channel marketing solutions that meet their specific needs.
